Traditional Christmas Turkey from Fosse Meadows Farm

We just picked our free-range, hand reared turkey up from the delightful Nick and Jacob of Fosse Meadows Farm in Frolesworth.

We wouldn’t go anywhere else now for a Turkey, their birds are fantastic and they have even converted my Vegetarian father to a Meat-Eater on Christmas Day!

Their Christmas Turkeys are hand reared for 6 months (slow grown), on a free range farm in the heart of the Midlands.

Taj Indian Cuisine, Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire – Review

This isn’t just going for “a curry”… This IS dining in one of the best Indian restaurants in the Midlands!

There are very few Indian restaurants that can compete with the quality of the cuisine served at Taj.

Quaint rural location.

Food freshly prepared for every single dish. As home made traditional food should be.

Caring, personal service.

Fresh, quality, ingredients delivered regularly to the restaurant. No wholesale ready made cheats here.

Not expensive. Prices are in line with a typical “curry house”, however the quality of the food speaks for itself. Great value for money.

Locally, Taj has a fantastic reputation. People travel further than their local Indian to dine at Taj because of the sheer high quality and freshness of the food.

Not once have I have a case of Delhi-Belly after eating there, always feel good and non-greasy the morning after.

Pailton Baby Farm – surprise Pram Museum!

My expecting wife and I visited the Baby Farm at Pailton… it’s not
exactly as it sounds, I’m sure if you could buy babies from a farm, many ladies would be happy to not go through child birth! The baby farm is actually a shop for toys, prams, baby clothes etc…

Anyway, we didn’t find what we went for, maternity clothes, but we DID discover an amazing museum tucked away upstairs in one if the barns… a museum of the history if prams!

The collection includes John Lennon’s and Prince Charles’s Prams!

It was fascinating, a great private collection, made publicly viewable! I applaud you, the baby farm!

It’s official now, la maison is for sale!

After our massive restoration project, a lot of blood, sweat, tears and cash, the house is now pristine. And of course, just as people said we would, we’ve now decided it’s time to move! Sharnford has been a fun place to live for the last 5 years, seems like yesterday when we moved in!

So our house is for sale with David Robinson estate agent in Broughton Astley.
